Boston College Law School

The following Boston College Law School students have received fellowships from Equal Justice America. These fellowships are made possible by contributions from Boston College alumni. With continued support from the alumni, we look forward to putting many more Boston College law students and graduates to work providing vitally needed legal assistance to the poor.

(Equal Justice America is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation unaffiliated with any law school.)

Overall, the Family Law and Guardianship Unit at the Volunteer Lawyers Project of the Boston Bar Association provided invaluable learning opportunities. Thanks to the meaningful work and my fantastic supervisors, I feel more confident leaving this internship than I did going into it. I am excited to apply the skills that I learned from VLP at the Community Enterprise Clinic, a Boston College Law School clinic with a similar public interest edge, as well as in future work experiences. Huge thanks to EJA as well for their generous support!

This summer, I was selected as one of Equal Justice America’s Fellows and am working at Greater Boston Legal Services as a legal intern in their Housing Unit. Currently, I am helping clients protect their rights as tenants as they face unparalleled difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to help low-income families in the Greater Boston area remain in safe and affordable housing.

Being able to do impact litigation this summer meant a lot to me because I know that my work was able to not only help our client, but a much broader range of people facing similar issues. I would like to thank Equal Justice America for helping fund my amazing summer and making it possible for me to help make a positive impact in the legal system.

In addition, the staff at Human Rights First provided a collaborative and supportive environment where I was able to grow and become a better attorney and person. I am incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work with attorneys dedicated to upholding human rights.
