Throughout the summer, I drew heavily on the knowledge I gained during my 1L year at Loyola Law School, Los Angeles. I also saw firsthand the importance of legal aid organizations like Public Counsel, which serve as a lifeline for communities often excluded from the justice system. I’m incredibly thankful to Equal Justice America for making this experience possible, and to the phenomenal attorneys and clients at Public Counsel for welcoming me into their work. This summer reaffirmed my commitment to pursuing a career in public interest law, rooted in service, accountability, and the belief that everyone deserves equal access to justice—regardless of their income, immigration status, or background.
