Equal Justice America is pleased to offer fellowships for qualifying law students who will be providing free legal services at a civil legal aid or civil rights organization during the fall or spring semester. Fall and Spring Fellowships will pay up to $2,000, depending on the availability of funding. To receive a full $2,000 grant, students are expected to work a minimum of 100 hours. Students working less than 100 hours are eligible for a prorated amount. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis and will be accepted through September 15th.
The application requires you to submit the following:

A resume or CV
An employment confirmation letter from the hiring organization that indicates how many hours you will be working
Please note, fellowships must take place in the United States. The hiring organization must be a non-profit organization providing direct civil legal services.
PLACEMENTS WITH PUBLIC DEFENDER OFFICES AND GOVERNMENT AGENCIES DO NOT QUALIFY.
