"After serving their country, veterans often face daunting obstacles to integrating back into life at home. While disability and other benefits are available from the VA, lengthy delays and complex rules make qualifying for those benefits difficult. We are thrilled to have Kristin Hendriksen, our new EJA Fellow, coming on board to help us meet the legal needs of our veterans!"
Hugh “Trey” Daly, Director, Public Benefits Practice Group, Legal Aid Chicago
Our veterans have put their lives on the line for us. We need to make sure their needs are met when they come home.
Kristin will work closely with Legal Aid Chicago’s Veterans' Rights team and Housing Practice Group to provide comprehensive service to veterans, protecting veterans' rights on the crucial issues of housing, health care and employment. Please click here for more information.
