Katherine Shank
Deputy Director
Legal Aid Chicago
Legal Aid Chicago serves survivors of domestic violence in a wide array of legal needs such as housing, public benefits, immigration, and employment. Our core work for survivors is providing representation to obtain civil orders of protection, divorce and child custody, and representation for clients who are involved with the child welfare system due to their status as survivors. We’re incredibly grateful for the decades-long support from Equal Justice America and in particular for the new two-year EJA Fellowship focusing on serving survivors of domestic violence.
