George Washington University Law School

The following George Washington University students have received fellowships from Equal Justice America. These fellowships are made possible by contributions from George Washington University alumni. With continued support from the alumni, we look forward to putting many more George Washington University law students and graduates to work providing vitally needed legal assistance to the poor.

(Equal Justice America is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation unaffiliated with any law school.)
Please click the links below to read more about the students’ EJA Fellowships.

Working with Public Counsel and participating in Equal Justice America's fellowship program has not only strengthened my passion for public interest law and plaintiff-side litigation but also allowed me to contribute meaningfully to cases focusing on advancing civil rights and social justice. I'm incredibly grateful to Public Counsel and the Equal Justice America fellowship for making this experience possible

I appreciated that the [Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless] made sure to really connect with members of the community directly in order to better support their goals. One of the attorneys ran a group that met once a month called People Power Action which was comprised of community members and focused on giving community members a chance to have their voices heard…Overall, I really enjoyed my experience at the Legal Clinic and feel that I gained valuable skills in direct client representation and advocacy. I am grateful for the support that Equal Justice America provided in allowing me to intern at this important organization.

I’m so proud to work with the Child Care Law Center! They refuse to keep silent on the ongoing conditions at the border and the terrible effect that current immigration policy is having on families and children Every family deserves to be together and have what they need to be safe and healthy. Yet children continue to be forcibly separated from their families. And the trauma that children are experiencing will impact them for a lifetime…Please consider donating to Equal Justice America so that my work, and the work of my peers, may continue.
